Janis Avila is a leader in Customer and Employee Experience. She currently serves as Director, Employee Experience at Facebook. Previously she served as Executive Director in Digital Customer Experience at JP Morgan Chase & Co. She transitioned from HR to Customer Experience during her tenure at Union Bank where she led Customer Experience Strategy for the Consumer Lending Division and the home mortgage experience.

Janis’s career spans ​several industries​. She began her career in HR in media and entertainment, serving in HR leadership roles at Univision and MGM Studios. She held roles in Employee Experience & Diversity and helped build and shape the HR business partner function at Union Bank. Janis has been consistently recognized for her contributions as a top performer and thought leader.

She received her bachelor’s from ​San Diego State University and completed the Customer-Focused Innovation Executive Program at ​Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and The Hasso Plattner Design School (d.school)​.
